Sue and Jim Mintun
A former steel industry executive, Jim Mintun has always been a planer, in business and in life. Most of his planning now tends to be around golf but he always has a plan. That’s why it’s not surprising Jim and his wife Sue made Fox Run part of their retirement plans. Jim says, “It’s the greatest gift we can give our children…here if our health goes bad we will be taken care of and won’t be separated from each other.”
Sue and Jim raised their four children in Fredonia and spent 20 years living on Lake Erie. In the fall of 2012 they moved into a 2,500 plus square foot Fox Run patio home, which has plenty of room for visitors, including their seven grandchildren. Before the move Sue was concerned about adjusting to retirement living but that was erased on day one, “We walked in the commons and it immediately felt like home to me…this was like a new beginning for us.”
Sue and Jim will still spend winters in Florida although they both admit it will be less time because they don’t want to miss anything back home. According to Jim they have a more active lifestyle now than before they moved to Fox Run. But they both still manage to play golf at least two times per week. That’s just part of the plan.
