Having grown up in Blasdell, New York, with a large family, Maureen Gorski sought a professional environment that was just as lively, family-oriented, and supportive. She found that and more when she began her career at Fox Run at Orchard Park in 2017. Since then, Maureen has excelled in her role as the top Marketing & Sales Counselor.
The Fox Run Community Members are in excellent hands with Maureen as she treats each and every one of them as she would her own family. She is often seen hugging her clients before they leave the Fox Run campus, ensuring a seamless process for new move-ins, from start to finish. Maureen’s approach is often described as caring, patient, and empathetic towards the unique needs of each senior who considers Fox Run as their new home. And when it comes to seeing those processes through, Maureen goes above and beyond as a dedicated hard-worker, willing and eager to put in the extra time to accommodate prospective Community Members.
Before arriving at Fox Run, Maureen spent many years at the Bar Association of Erie County, primarily in the role of Director of Development, which saw her plan and coordinate programming for annual membership dinners, luncheons, galas, and special events.
The theme of large families thriving together continues to this day as Maureen now resides in Hamburg, New York, with her husband and family dog. She enjoys kayaking, traveling and spending time with her three children and grandchildren, as well as her five siblings and parents. Maureen is an active member of St. Mary’s on the Lake Catholic Church, and served as their Religious Education Instructor for several years. Maureen was also a member of the National Association of Bar Leaders (NABE), Communications Section from 2013 to 2017.
Michelle puts her all into everything she does, whether that be organizing a photoshoot, gardening, decorating, or creating a pitch for Fox Run advertising. Michelle’s primary responsibility is to manage all of the advertising layers; create, produce, and edit copy for print, television, radio, and digital platforms for Fox Run. She is a creative individual with an unmatched eye for detail, adding personal touches to the Fox Run website, social media outlets, broadcast spots, and forever looking for the next unconventional place to advertise. Director of Marketing & Sales Mary Lou Letina-Land knows Michelle is up to something when she charges into her office with… “I have an idea!”
Michelle’s creativity suits her well in other roles at Fox Run; such as her stewardship for, and leading the Community Art Gallery where she coordinates with local artists for exhibitions. Michelle’s efforts have led to well over 65 art shows, exhibits, and artist receptions at Fox Run.
During every interaction with these artists, Community Members, and staff members, Michelle makes it a point to treat them all as she would a long-time friend, as she’s particularly attentive to individuals’ likes, dislikes, and family member dynamics. The energy and laughter that comes from the Marketing office when she is meeting with them is contagious and inevitably spreads across the entire department.
Following graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University, Michelle spent well over a decade living and working in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Colorado where both of her children were born. Returning to her WNY roots, she now lives in Boston, NY, with her husband, two children, and two yellow Labs. She is an avid and talented skier, often joking she could ski before she could walk. Michelle enjoys anything outdoors, including hiking, gardening, and particularly loves to cheer her son and daughter on as they competitive ski race and play soccer.
“After graduating from college in 2003, I quickly began my career working at a retirement community which I loved and was promoted to Director of that company after two years. Fast forward two years later, I found the newest, best, and greatest place to work — Fox Run at Orchard Park! Now, 15 years later, I consider Fox Run my second home. I was in my late 20s when I started, and throughout that time I’ve gotten married, had my baby girl, and made lifelong friendships.”
Since September 2016, Mary Lou Letina-Land has led and currently serves as Director of our dedicated Marketing and Sales team. As an original employee of Fox Run, before the doors even opened, Mary Lou has experienced first-hand the Community’s growth. Mary Lou sets the bar as an example for the Marketing Department to follow as she seamlessly guides potential Community Members and their families through Lifecare Plans, new apartment and patio home options, and the move-in process. She also loves to watch Community Members once they’re acclimated to retirement living, become active and seeing them flourish. She finds true gratitude in coming to work every morning and greeting the smiling faces of Community Members as they enjoy their morning coffee.
A boisterous and proud St. Bonaventure University alumna, Mary Lou is eager to share stories of her alma mater, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Frequenting her family’s cottage in Crystal Beach, Canada, she spends as much of her free time here with her husband, daughter Nora, and their two Retrievers. Sales isn’t her only competitive edge, Mary Lou has a blast playing competitive volleyball year round, and she also horseback rides at Skibbereen Farm in Orchard Park weekly. Mary Lou currently serves on the Mount Mercy Academy Alumni Board and is an honorary member of the United Irish American Association (U.I.A.A.). In 2024, Mary Lou was honored to be a part of and graduate from the LeadingAge New York Ignite Leadership Academy program.

“One of my greatest accomplishments is being a trusted and valuable asset in helping others, most notably seniors, improve their lives. For life enrichment, Fox Run at Orchard Park is the perfect place.” Ms. Simpson was originally hired in 2021 as the Fox Run Health Center Admissions Coordinator, and in 2024, was promoted to the position of Independent Living Marketing and Sales Counselor.
Christine graduated from Niagara University where she received her bachelor’s degree in science and social work. After graduation, she returned to her hometown of Syracuse, New York, where she began her career in long-term care and rehabilitation.
Three years into her profession, Christine relocated to Buffalo, New York, to work for a friendly Fox Run competitor, another local Continuing Care Retirement Community. Christine held this position for 13 years as a Social Worker and Admissions Coordinator. Her long-time experience in the senior living industry and her familiarity working closely with the senior population, make Christine an outstanding addition to the Fox Run Marketing and Sales Team. A common accolade and praise heard for Christine is that she has a very calming demeanor and an equally comforting voice. This genuinely comes from her passion for social work and is something that cannot be taught. The Fox Run Marketing and Sales Team is excited to have her aboard. Christine resides in the Town of Tonawanda with her husband and their twin boys. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors, tending to her garden, enjoying concerts and art festivals, as well as traveling to new destinations.
“After graduating from State University of NY at Fredonia, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and theater arts, I couldn’t ask for a better and more welcoming place to start my professional career than Fox Run at Orchard Park. I have a unique experience working all sides of our business model through my dual roles on the Health Center Admissions Team and the Marketing Department. I see daily how Lifecare comes together! Working with independent Community Members as well as residents in the Health Center has given me a full circle, hands on approach to a Lifeplan Community. I couldn’t be happier professionally, and truly believe in Fox Run and everything they offer to senior living.” Nelson, not new to Fox Run for the last year and a half of college, worked as a server and new hire trainer in the Dining Services Department.
A native to Utica but now calls Buffalo home, Elizabeth currently resides in Depew with her two kittens, Jack and Beverly. Nelson is active in theater, working part-time in the front of the house at the Irish Classical Theater in downtown Buffalo. Her goal? To always work in some aspect of theater, which helps Nelson bring a fresh and creative outlook to the Community Members at Fox Run. Outside of work, Nelson enjoys spending time with her family and friends playing board games (that never get too competitive, wink inserted).
While finishing her secondary education, working in a Lifeplan Community was not what she had imagined. As she has settled in to her dual departments, Nelson is excited to grow in her roles and looks forward to many years within the Fox Run family. She comes to work every day looking forward to helping seniors find their new homes; whether that be in an Independent Living Apartment, Assisted Living and Memory Care Suites, or Skilled Nursing.
Beginning his career at Fox Run at Orchard Park in 2010, Mr. Torino Gasbarre has rejoined our team as the Admissions Coordinator for the Health Center — bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to patient care.
In 2014, Torino sought new challenges and accepted a management position outside of Fox Run to expand his expertise in the healthcare industry. Over the next decade, he honed his skills in various settings—both large and small, for-profit and not-for-profit—gaining a comprehensive understanding of compliance standards and refining his ability to increase census through strong clinical assessment and patient qualification for assisted living. His roles have included Assisted Living Director of Nursing, Administrator, and Admissions Hospital Liaison for Assisted Living, all of which have contributed to his well-rounded professional background.
Torino returned to Fox Run in early 2024, initially serving as an LPN before being promoted to his current role as Admissions Coordinator. Known for his calming presence, intuitive listening, and empathetic approach, Torino is a natural fit for admissions. His colleagues and prospective Community Members alike appreciate his focused and caring demeanor.
Torino holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from Trocaire College. His extensive healthcare experience includes working on the medical-surgical floor at Erie County Medical Center and serving as an Aerospace Medical Technician in the Air Force. These experiences, combined with his clinical and managerial expertise, make him an invaluable asset to the Admissions Team.
Outside of work, Torino is described as caring, reliable, and funny. He lives in Hamburg with Porter, his third rescue dog. Coming from a large family as one of ten children, Torino enjoys hosting summer gatherings around his pool—especially when Mexican food is on the menu.
“My first connection with Fox Run at Orchard Park was in early 2022, preparing for my solo art show in The Community Art Gallery at Fox Run, called Breathing Room. It was through the wonderful interactions with both the Fox Run Community Members and staff that I found a sense of ‘home’. Joining the Marketing Team officially in July of 2022, I feel honored to be here in every way. It was an unexpected gift in my life to be a part of something bigger–something I truly believe in.”
Born and raised in West Falls, New York, Erin attended East Aurora Schools. She learned to play the violin at age four, spent most of her time playing soccer, swimming, and skiing.
Erin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart & William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, focused on English and Studio Art. During her time there, she studied “abroad” in Los Angeles for an internship and to study film, television, and photography. The internship was at Warner Bros. Studios under the direction of the late Richard Donner. Erin also worked for his wife, Lauren Shuler Donner, who produced and directed many movies in her extensive career. During Erin’s internship, she read scripts and worked on set while the Donner duo made Lethal Weapon IV and You’ve Got Mail in 1998.
Erin went abroad again in 1999 to live and study in Galway, Ireland. This was a wonderful, immersive experience into the lives, culture, and history of the Irish people. She spent her free time on the weekends traveling to Dublin, Belfast, and London; appreciating all the beautiful coasts and islands.
After graduation in 2000, Erin moved to Boulder, Colorado and worked as a writer and Project Manager in several high-tech companies. As an avid skier, most of her weekends were spent in the mountains. Erin then moved to California where she began raising her two children, Molly and Jack. She began a violin school and lived in Sonoma, enjoying wine country life.
2017 saw Erin returning home to East Aurora to be close to family and friends. As painting is her main focus, she then opened her professional art studio. When Erin is not painting in her studio, she enjoys time with her husband Logan, her children Molly and Jack, and their family dog, Stella.
