In honor of their parents, Bob and Sally Bieler, Scott and Dean Bieler organized a Fox Run Appreciation Day that was held Thursday, March 18th. The senior Bielers, long-time residents of Orchard Park, moved to Fox Run in 2014, taking full advantage of the freedom and opportunities offered by life on the Fox Run campus. They quickly fell in love with both the staff and the supportive Fox Run community. Fittingly, the event featured lunch or dinner compliments of the Bieler family for everyone who works and lives at Fox Run.

Upon moving in, Sally settled right into their new large and beautiful apartment, along with her extensive Abraham Lincoln collection and her beloved cat. Bob continued to work at West Herr Auto Group for several years, enjoying coming home to sit by the fireplace lounge in the Fox Run Commons. He also loved socializing and was often seen greeting and chatting with others on campus. As a couple, they enjoyed playing bingo and visiting flea markets. Their two sons, Scott and Dean, are no strangers to the Fox Run culture, as they used to accompany their parents to dinner at The Oak Room every Thursday evening, and the whole family would visit for the Sunday brunch at Fox Run. Bob’s brother Larry also moved into Fox Run, shortly after. The Bielers appreciated how seamlessly family members of all ages fit into life at Fox Run.

The Fox Run Dining Team planned a menu inspired by the Bielers’ favorite Fox Run meals for the event. Choices included traditional beef goulash with roasted carrots, crispy fried chicken with mashed potatoes and roasted corn, homestyle beef pot roast with a baked potato and broccoli, and everyone received a freshly baked cookie for dessert. The entire Fox Run Community, which treats everyone like family, enjoyed celebrating the Bielers and having a meal together in their memory.
